Three years ago I found myself  in Omaha – single, alone, starting a new job and a new life.  This small town farm girl said goodbye to a dissipated 23 yr marriage in search of something better for herself. It was time to recreate my purpose in life and start living my dreams. My roots are deeply grounded on the prairie but I love to wander… to experience the world with childlike enthusiasm. In truth, I’ve always been confined by county lines. So with no regrets I pushed ahead and here I am writing about the things I love the most. The life that at one time I only dreamed of – I now am living everyday.

So who am I? I am a dreamer, an idealist with a sense of adventure and appreciation for life.  I am in awe of nature and will seek out beautiful landscapes in my travels. I have a great appreciation for music and you will often find me at a concert or live music venue enjoying the talents I can only wish I had. Whether it’s wine tasting, a Broadway show or just hanging out a local dive bar I enjoy talking with friends and meeting new people. I have a passion for poetry, reading, flowers, beautiful music, kind people and witty humor.  While I enjoy what my home state has to offer I am always excited to plan a few trips a year to satisfy my wandering spirit.  I truly feel life is about making connections – with yourself, with nature, with other people – I seek out these connections and hope that sharing them with others will inspire them to seek out the things they love.

  1. What a great introduction! I love it all but especially the part that starts w my roots through the end of the paragraph, the part about connections and the wonderful quote! Now our circle of connections grow!

  2. Thanks for following my blog. Loved what you have to say in your About page and that’s enough to have me following what you post as well. Greetings from Texas.
